FAZ CLARIFIES ON BARBRA BANDA

The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- has dismissed social media reports that CAF has cleared BARBRA BANDA to play.

FAZ General Secretary ADRIAN KASHALA has told ZNBC Sports that CAF and FIFA have just acknowledged receipt of an appeal from the Association.

KASHALA said FAZ will inform the nation once it receives feedback from the two football mother bodies.

He has for now appealed to the public to STOP issuing negative statements which might affect the performance of the girls at the ongoing Women Africa Cup of Nations.

KASHALA said the team still has a long way to go hence the need for the country at large to rally behind the players.

He further said whatever FAZ does is in the interest of players, team and the nation at large.
