FAZ announce KoPa kit revenue for the last four years

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has revealed the revenue made from the KoPa kit initiative.

The kit was launched in 2018. The Copper Bullets first showed up in the KoPa kit at the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

According to a report posted on FAZ Facebook page, Tthrough the KoPa replica in 2018, the Football Association was able to realise K541, 250 from replica sales. Replicas were pegged at K250 each.

In 2019, the sales went down with only K374, 000 realized from sales.

The following year the sales improved and the replica sales gained ground amongst the public and raked in K691, 100.

For 2021 FAZ included casual T-Shirts, Golf T-shirts, and Tracksuits to the offering and the sales leaped to a staggering K2, 145, 730.

FAZ has registered KoPa as a trademark making it illegal for anyone to trade in it without permission from Football House.

It is protected under CAP 405 which covers the sale of goods bearing a false trademark.
