Fashion off to Scotland to start his life at FC Rangers

Zambia national team forward Fashion Sakala has left for Scotland to start his life at his new club FC Rangers.

Sakala left for Govan district of Glasgow via Kenneth Kaunda international airport this afternoon. Sakala completed his switch to Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers FC, early last month.

The former Nchanga Rangers and Sensational Zanaco forward penned a four-year deal to complete his summer move to Ibrox from Belgian Jupiler Pro League side, KV Oostende.

Sakala will officially join Steven Gerrard’s side on 1st July as a free agent after having run down his contract at Oostende, where he has five Belgian Jupiler Pro League playoff II games before his time with the KustBoys comes to an end.

The 24 year-old has netted on 16 occassions and assisted 3 times for the Belgian top-flight club in their impressive run in the just ended Belgian season.

Sakala started his career in Chipata before making a switch to Nchanga Rangers and later Sensational Zanaco. He then moved to Russia in 2017 to play for Spartak Moscow where he mostly featured for their junior side, Spartak Moscow II before making a switch to KV Oostende in 2018.

RANGERS will begin the defense of their Scottish Premiership title at Ibrox on Saturday, July 31 against Livingston.

Rangers will learn their opponents for their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie on July 19 with those matches taking place on either August 3 or 4, and August 10.
