EVELYN HONE TO TRANSFORM INTO UNIVERSITY

The Evelyn Hone College management says it is working at upgrading the institution into a University College of Technology.

College Principal CEPHAS CHABU says the learning institution has already started offering degree programs in Business and Health Sciences while a degree programme in Journalism will be rolled out next year.

Mr. CHABU has also disclosed that the Irish Government is financing a Diploma Programme in Audio and Music Technology.

He was speaking when he paid a courtesy call on ZNBC Director General MALOLELA LUSAMBO at Mass Media Complex in Lusaka today.

And Mr LUSAMBO proposed a collaboration to feature Music students on a sponsored TV programme as a means of promoting musical talent and arts.

He said there is need to assemble a technical team to devise a Memorandum of Understanding to actualise the proposed collaboration between the two institutions.

Mr. LUSAMBO also hailed the Evelyn Hone College management for upholding quality training standards saying over 2-hundred ZNBC staff have acquired skills and training at the learning institution.

He urged the college management to take advantage of various media platforms offered by ZNBC to market Evelyn Hone College.
