ERB maintains fuel prices for second month running

The Energy Regulation Board-ERB-has maintained the petroluem pump prices for the month of December 2023.

And, the Board has implemented a mechanism to support and moderate the transport cots incurred on petroluem products that are imported by road.

ERB Board Chairperson REYNOLDS BOWA says this is during the fourth quarter of 2023, to mitigate the possible adverse impact on domestic prices.

Mr BOWA says the transport cost equalization mechamism, that uses the petroluem startegic Reserve Fund will be reviewed for relevance consistent with the movements in the international Oil Prices.

Mr BOWA was announced this when he addressed the media at the monthly revision of Petroluem Pump Prices in LUSAKA today.

The Price of Petrol has been maintained at 29 Kwacha 98 ngwee per litre, diesel is still fetching 29 KWACHA 96 Ngwee per litre and price of jet A1 fuel has been maintained at 29 KWACHA 29 ngwee per litre.
