Enhace Security – Haimbe

Wilson Mulinda-Lusaka Central Member of Parliament, MULAMBO HAIMBE says enhancing security in communities requires provision of a conducive working environment for police officers.

Mr. HAIMBE, who is also Justice Minister, says it is saddening that police officers in certain areas are working under difficult conditions such as dilapidated offices.

He says his office as MP will continue to lobby for support from corporate entities for police officers to be given a suitable space to operate from.

Mr. HAIMBE was speaking when he toured the Northmead Police Post, which is experiencing challenges.

Meanwhile, ZESCO Director Transmission Operations and Trade JUSTIN LOONGO said his company will rehabilitate the police post as the company that donated the structure.

Mr. LOONGO said ZESCO will continue offering support to Government in ways possible.

And, Northmead Police Officer-in-Charge CHARLES KABOMBA said officers have been finding service delivery hard because of the current state of the police post, adding that the help rendered will be appreciated.
