Elite Ladies welcome Assembly in a TV game, Indeni battle Queens as BUSA face YASA

The FAZ Women’s National League week 13 comes alive this weekend as the battle for the top spot between Indeni Roses and ZESCO Ndola Girls continues to intensify.

The inaugural top tier of Women’s football in the country also returns to the screen as ZNBC TV 3 is set to televise the match between Lusaka Dynamos Ladies and National Assembly Women, The second-ever Women’s National League game to be beamed live on TV.

At New Bauleni Community Stadium, tricky Bauleni United Sports Academy (BUSA) Queens welcome the rejuvenated YASA Queens in a rescheduled week seven clash.

YASA who have found their winning mojo in the last three games will be aiming to go top temporarily at least when they face off with the youthful BUSA Queens who play some of the most beautiful football in the league.

Coach Kaluba Kangwa’s lasses on the other hand will be aiming to return to winning ways after playing to a goalless draw with Queens Academy away in Kabwe last weekend.

The kick-off for this match is set at 10:00.

Later today the action moves to the Indeni Sports Complex, second-placed Indeni Roses welcome Kabwe based Queens Academy.

Roses will hope to continue from where they left off last weekend when they beat Nkwazi Queens 2-0 in Lusaka. Queens on the other hand is coming from a goalless draw with tricky BUSA Queens.

An epic battle in midfield is expected as Copper Queen’s midfield workhorse, Rhoda Chileshe goes toe to toe with the swift Precious Phiri to try and control the midfield for their respective teams.

Indeni will again be without Noria Sosala and Esther Namukwasa who are in camp with the Copper Queens.

The kick-off at the Cage, Indeni Sports Complex is set at 15:00.

On Sunday, Lusaka Dynamos Ladies welcome National Assembly in a game set to be beamed live on TV at the Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.

Coach Grace Mwango’s lasses returned to winning ways over the weekend with an emphatic 5-1 away win in Mufulira and will be aiming to become only the second team after BUSA and Green Buffaloes to inflict a defeat on National Assembly Women.

Assembly on the other hand will have to dig deep and find a way to score goals if they are to win this game having only won two games so far with five goals forced.

Grace ‘Njonginjo’ Tembo who already has eight goals to her name will lead the Elite Ladies strike force but comes up against one of the league’s top shot-stoppers in Agness Fabiola Banda who has kept seven clean sheets so far.
