Edward Chilufys on target in Djurgadens win

Chipolopolo striker Edward Chilufya scored the opening goal in Djurgadens IF’s 2-0 win over Ostersunds FK in Round 6 of the Swedish Allsvenskan.

Chilufya who has been in fantastic form for Djurgadens started up front in a front three alongside Kalle Holmberg and Nicklas Bärkroth.

The Kasama native nearly opened the scores in the 7th minute after he broke free in the middle only for his effort to pass over the bar. However, in the 11th minute, Chilufya would not be denied after Aslak Witry passed the ball to him before he sprinted past three defenders and opened the scores via the far post, 1-0.

Edward Chilufya got a well-deserved rest after a fine performance and Haris Radetinac replaced him in the 77th minute.

Midfielder Emmanuel Banda was introduced in the 83rd minute replacing Curtis Edwards.
