Edward Chilufya makes Djurgadens IF matchday squad for Norrköping clash

The Zambia U-23 winger who will be looking to make his second appearance of the 2020/2021 Swedish Allsvenskan season had made coach Kim Bergstrand’s 19 member squad for the match against log leaders IFK Norrköping.

Chilufya put in a 74 minutes shift in Djurgadens If opening match of the season when they beat Sirius 2-0 before missing out in the team for Wednesday’s 2-1 loss to Örebro.

The Mphande Youth product may start as coach Bergstrand hinted on changes to the team during his pre-match press conference.

We have no new injuries in the squad and those who have had some problems are getting better and better. So we are very grateful to have escaped these two matches without any problems. Some have played a lot, but they can handle it, so we hope to be able to put the very best players on the pitch. But some changes will be made for sure.

Emmanuel Banda will again have to wait for his debut as he misses out on the matchday squad.

Norrköping leads the log with six points after beating Kalmar 2-1 in the first match before thrashing AIK 4-1 in mid-week. The last four meetings between the two sides have all ended in draws with the last one being a 2-2 draw.

Kick-off for the match is at 14:30 at the Östgötaporten Stadium in Norrköping.
