ECZ TECHNICAL COMMITTEE TO DRAFT COVID CAMPAIGN RULES

By Patricia Banda- The Electoral Commission of Zambia -ECZ- says it is currently constituting a Technical Committee that will help with modalities of campaigns with political parties for this year’s General Election.

This is in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.

ECZ Public Relations Manager Patricia Luhanga says this is as requested by the Ministry of Health.

Ms. Luhanga explained that once the Technical Committee is approved, the meetings will commerce and member institutions will appoint their representatives.

She further explained that the process will take a multi sectorial approach, with ECZ leading the process.
