Eagles earn a point against Zanaco to go third

Zanaco and Green Eagles shared spoils at Lusaka’s Sunset Stadium in a rescheduled Zambian Super League match played on Wednesday afternoon.

Second half Substitute Emmanuel Mwaba gave the Zambia National Service sponsored side the lead in the 47th minute.

Zanaco captain Moses Phiri equalised eleven minutes later on off a Salulani Phiri free kick.

The bankers piled pressure in search of a winning goal but to avail.

The result sees Green Eagles move to third on the log with 33 points while Zanaco are 9th with 29 points.
