DP SALUTES GOVT ON PUBLIC MEDIA FREEDOM

The opposition Democratic Party -DP- has commended government for giving public media space to operate independently.

Party president HARRY KALABA says it is encouraging to note that under the new dawn administration, various stakeholders who include political parties are now being covered by the public media.

Mr. KALABA has also praised the UPND government for its inclusiveness on national events as was the case during this year’s Independence Day celebrations were all political parties were invited.

He was speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka today.

And Mr. KALABA disclosed that his party will continue to provide checks and balances to the government of the day for the benefit of all Zambians.

The opposition leader further said his party will support government in its efforts to improve the living standards of the people.
