Don’t drop guard against COVID 19-Malama

Reuben Chomba-Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Technical Services KENNEDY MALAMA has urged the public not to drop their guard against Covid 19 as the risk of resurgence is still high.

Dr. MALAMA says the public must continue to adhere to the public health measures to ensure cases are reduced further.

He says the ministry through its multisectoral approach has continued to strengthen compliance, monitoring and enforcement measures to bring down covid cases countrywide.

And Dr. MALAMA says the country has recorded 3 hundred and 84 new confirmed Covid cases out of 6, thousand and 85 tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

He says 8 new Covid 19 related deaths were also reported in the past 24 hours.

Dr. MALAMA adds that 5 hundred and 42 patients have been discharged from health facilities and community management while 27 new admissions were recorded.

He further notes that the Covid 19 situation has continued to improve hence the more reason the public must continue to adhere to the measures.

This is according to the COVID 19 update released by the Ministry of Health in Lusaka today.
