Decentralisation will enhance service delivery-C/belt Minister

Tamara Muswala-Copperbelt Minister ELISHA MATAMBO says the UPND government has prioritized decentralization governance to enhance service delivery down to the local level.

Mr. MATAMBO says his government considers local government as an engine for development being a sphere of governance closest to the people.

He said it is for this reason that the UPND is committed to actualize the national aspirations for a decentralized governance system as enshrined in the constitution.

Mr. MATAMBO was speaking during the installation ceremony for Kalulushi Mayor DAUDI SIMAMA.

He urged the new Mayor to bury the past and embrace everyone as he executes his duties.

And Kalulushi Mayor DAUDI SIMAMA has pledged to provide equitable services to he people of Kalulushi.

Mr. SIMAMA said he will proritise infrastructure development such as the upgrading of roads, skills training centres among others.
