Debt restructuring deal wasn’t easy-HH

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says securing the debt restructuring deal was not an easy undertaking because a lot was involved in reaching the agreement.

President HICHILEMA says Zambia managed to secure the debt restructuring deal ahead of many other countries that are still trying to do the same.

He says Zambia’s debt crippled the country and that securing a debt restructuring deal is a big relief for the people of Zambia.

President HICHILEMA was speaking upon arrival at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in NDOLA where He together with King Mswati the third of the kingdom of Eswatini will attend and officiate at this year’s Zambia International Trade Fair in NDOLA.

Mr. HICHILEMA also thanked the people of Zambia for giving the UPND trust to superintend over the country’s affairs.

He said government will not let the people of Zambia down but will deliver what it promised.

Mr. HICHILEMA said among the things that government has delivered is free education, re-introduction of meal allowances to students, increased CDF and restoring the rule of law.

AND King MSWATI the third is this afternoon expected to officiate at this year’s International Trade fair that is being held under the theme Stimulating Economic Development through Partnerships Trade and Investment.

Over 1,000 local and foreign exhibitors are participating at the fair.
