Daka is crazy quick – Virgil Van Dijk

Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk was full of praise for Zambia national team star forward Patson Daka after yesterday’s English Premier League match at Anfield.

Speaking after the game, van Dijk told BT Sport that playing against a player as quick as Daka meant he had to be prepared and ready.

“We want to keep a high line because we know we can win the ball up high. It’s the risk you have to take. Luckily, they trust us in the back but it’s sometimes not easy, you have to be brave,” Van Dijk said.

“Today, I played against Patson Daka, who is crazy quick in my opinion, so you have to be ready.”

The Kafue Celtic product put in a quite 59 minute shift for Brendan Rogers’ men as they succumbed to a 2-0 loss.

Diogo Jota was the hero on the night, The Portuguese took his goal tally for the season to 17 by scoring twice to secure the Reds’ 2-0 victory over the Foxes at Anfield on Thursday night.
