COVID-19: HEALTH SECTOR NEGATIVELY IMPACTED

Health Minister Sylvia Masebo says the health sector has been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ms. Masebo says it is for this reason that government is repositioning the health sector by putting in place a robust program that will ensure quick recovery.

She says a stable medical supply chain will be key in the recovery program.

Ms. Masebo was speaking when she received a donation of assorted COVID-19 protective materials from the Egyptian Government at the Zambia and Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency – ZMMSA in Lusaka today.

Egyptian Ambassador to Zambia Moataz Anwar said the embassy will work closely with the new government and identify more areas for collaboration.
