Covid 19 cases continue to drop
Sharon Kunda-Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO says the Country’s Covid 19 burden has reduced drastically with less than 5 percent average positivity.
Ms. MASEBO however notes with concern the upsurge of Covid 19 cases in some countries in Asia and Europe.
She says Zambia has recorded 1 hundred and 10 new cases of Covid 19 out of 3 thousand 1 hundred and 90 tests in the last 24 hours, giving an overall national positivity rate of 3 percent.
Ms. MASEBO says there are 8 hundred and 57 active cases and that the number has been below 1-thousand for the past one week.
She says of the active cases, only 7 require admission to health facilities with 3 on oxygen therapy and none classified as critically ill.
