By Reuben Chomba:

The Public Service Micro Finance Company -PSMF- says the company recorded a reduction in the disbursement of loans in 2020.

PSMF Chief executive Officer Mubanga Mwiko has disclosed that the company disbursed about 1 hundred and 33 Million kwacha in 2020 compared to 1 hundred and 80 million kwacha in 2019.

Mr. Mwiko has attributed the reduction in the disbursement of loans to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected various sectors of the economy.

He was speaking to ZNBC News in Lusaka.

Mr. Mwiko said this year, the company will strive to do better than last year as more products will be introduced on the market.

He added that the company has continued to receive overwhelming support from civil servants in accessing various loans.
