Coronavirus:Lungu assures health workers

By Hector Simfukwe-President EDGAR LUNGU has assured health workers that government will continue providing  them with safety clothing as they fight the Covid-19.President LUNGU says government is aware of the hard work that health workers are putting in hence the need to protect them.The President said this when he made a stopover, at Mpepo rural health center in Kanchibiya District, during his tour of the flooded areas in Luapula, Muchinga and Northern provinces.President LUNGU expressed concern over the overcrowding at the centre and also urged health workers in rural areas to continue educating the public on the Covid-19.This was after President LUNGU inquired from some health workers at the centre  on how ready they are to handle Covid-19 cases.President LUNGU urged the health workers to continue educating the masses on how they can protect themselves against Covid 19And Sister in charge at the Health Center, MAUREEN CHINTU said health workers in the area do not have adequate protective clothing needed in case of an outbreak.She said people in Kanchibiya District have information about Covid-19 but more needed to be done.Ms CHINTU said the health workers are working tirelessly in order to educate the people about Covid-19.
