COPPERBELT EXPO TO REAP $4BN

By Mushota Mpundu:The Copperbelt investment Expo is expected to reap about 4 Billion US dollars through investment pledges from both local and foreign investors.Copperbelt Minister Japhen Mwakalombe says 103 foreign and local investors have already shown willingness to explore investment opportunities in the province.Mr. Mwakalombe says already the Finland’s ambassador to Zambia has assured the Zambian government that he will talk to potential investors in that country to come and invest in the forestry sector.He was speaking during the Patriotic Front- PF interactive forum held in Ndola.And Mr. Mwakalombe said other investors that have held talks with government want to invest in a tracking system that will help reduce smuggling at both entry and exit points.Meanwhile,  Copperbelt PF chairperson Nathan Chanda has thanked the 103 exhibitors for finding time to come and appreciate the investment opportunities in the region.
