Copper Queens sniff WAFCON berth as they thrash Angola

The Copper Queens are 90 minutes away from qualifying to the finals of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations -WAFCON tournament after thrashing Angolan six goals to Nil.

This is in the first leg encounter of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier played in that country this afternoon.

Captain BARBARA BANDA bagged a hat trick with other goals coming from defender LUSHOMO MWEEMBA, Midfielder IREEN LUNGU and Striker RACHAEL KUNDANANJI.

Zambia will host Angola at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium on December 5th, 2023 in the reverse fixture.

Winner of the two legs will qualify to the Women Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Morocco next year.
