Copper Queens off to Morocco

The Copper Queens have left for Morocco with Coach BRUCE MWAPE naming his final 23 member squad for back to back friendly games against the host.

Zambia is set to play Morocco on September 22nd and 26th, 2023 in Rabat.

Speaking before departure, team Captain BARBRA BANDA said the upcoming games are crucial in preparing the team for the COSAFA tournament and Olympic qualifiers.

BANDA said playing Morocco will push the side to work hard as it is among the most competitive sides in Africa.

And Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- General Secretary REUBEN KAMANGA has urged the team to work hard having put the world cup experience behind.

Coach MWAPE will use the friendlies to prepare for the 2023 COSAFA Women’s Championship that will run from October 4 to 15, 2023 in South Africa.
