COLLABORATE TO PROMOTE TOURISM-KENYATTA

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta says there is need for African countries to collaborate to promote tourism on the Continent.ZANIS reports that President Kenyatta said African countries have vast natural resources and tourism potential to tap into as drivers for economic development.The Kenyan leader said this after touring the Victoria Falls in Livingstone in the company of his host President Edgar Lungu, and other senior government officials.Mr Kenyatta said Africans need to start appreciating their own tourism instead of going overseas.The Kenyan President said he will take it upon himself to campaign for the promotion of tourism in Africa.President Kenyatta is in Livingstone along with President Lungu and former Tanzanian president Jakaya Kikwete to attend the National Economic Summit organised by the Economic Association of Zambia that started yesterday July 25 and ends today July 26.
