Clergyman urges politicians to be humble

ZANIS-A clergyman in Kasama District has urged political leaders to embrace values of humility and servant leadership.

Saint John’s Assistant Parish Priest JULIUS MUSONDA says leaders should prioritize aspirations of the general citizenry.

Speaking during mass, which was also attended by of Community Development and Social Services Minister DOREEN MWAMBA, Father MUSONDA said leaders need to be humble if they are to provide selfless service to the nation.

He said Zambians are yearning to see development at different levels which calls for leaders to pay attention to their concerns.

And speaking to journalists shortly after the mass, Mrs. MWAMBA said government will, through her ministry, strive to address the plight of the underprivileged.

Mrs. Mwamba, who was flanked by Northern Province Minister LEONARD MBAO, has urged officers in her ministry to execute their duties professionally.
