Clatous Chama gets two Tanzania Premier League awards nominations including player of the season

The Zambia national team midfield ace has been nominated in two categories for the Tanzania Vodacom Premier League 2019/2020 end of season awards.
Chama who is popularly known as ‘Triple C’ has been nominated for big one, player of the year. The Wekundu wa Msimbazi midfielder is up against highly Taifa Stars young defender Bakari Mwamnyeto of Coastal Union.Mwamnyeto played a pivotal role in Coastal Union’s season, which saw them just concede 30 goals; a fifth-best record, which was only bettered by Simba, Yanga, Azam, and Biashara United.
The third player on the list is Ugandan right back Nico Wadada of AZAM FC.
The former Zesco United midfielder has also been nominated for the best midfielder of the season award and will battle Namungo FC’s Lucas Kikoti and Mapinduzi Balama of Young Africans SC.
Former Chipolopolo boss Sven Vandenbroeck who is now the gaffer at Simba SC is up for the coach of the year alongside Hitimana Thiery and Aristica Cioaba of Namungo FC and Azam FC respectively.
The Award Gala will be held on 7th August 2020, at Mlimani City Conference Center.
