Tanzanian giants Simba SC has confirmed that Zambian midfield ace Clatous Chota ‘Triple C’ Chama has extended his stay with the club.

Club owner, Tanzanian billionaire businessman, Mohammed “Mo” Gulamabbas Dewji confirmed the development during a press conference at the Golden Jubilee Towers Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Chama who is fondly referred to us ‘Mwamba wa Lusaka’ meaning the Rock of (from) Lusaka, has penned a new two and a half deal with the club.

“We at Simba have prepared ourselves, Chama will not be going anywhere, we have signed a contract with him and he will stay at Simba. We have finished with Chama and he is a Simba player for the next two and half years,” Mo Dewji said.

Triple C first joined Wekundu wa Msimbazi back in Simba SC back in 2018 after he terminated his contract with Lusaka Dynamos in July 2018 and he has since been a key component in the team.

Chama further extended his contract back in mid-2019 for two years which runs up to July 2021 and hence the new deal will see him at Simba SC up to December 2024.

According to reports in Tanzania, Chama will pocket $72,000 (Tsh. 180 million) in sign-on fees and $6,000 (Tsh. 15 million) monthly salary. Chama’s new contract is also reported to have a release clause of $800,000 (Tsh. 2 billion).
