CHURCH URGED TO PRAY FOR THE NATION

(ZANIS) Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa says government will always depend on the Church on matters of national building and healing.

Mr. Chilangwa says government recognizes the critical role the Church plays of uniting and praying for the nation.

Mr. Chilangwa was speaking when he officiated at the ordination Service of Reverend Brian Mwenda of St. Matthews United Church of Zambia Mwense Congregation.

He explained that while the government’s main function is to attend to the physical needs of the citizens, the Church’s role is to meet the spiritual needs of the citizens.

He urged Reverend Mwenda to always seek God’s guidance in his quest to lead the flock.

And Luangwa UCZ Congregation Reverend in charge Kalunga Changwe said the call to the Ministry of God is not easy because it requires serving human beings full of imperfections.
