Chongwe Seeks Lower Teacher-Pupil Ratio

By Wilson Mulinda-Chongwe Member of Parliament Japhen Mwakalombe says there is need to reduce the teacher-pupil ratio in all schools for effective learning.Mr. Mwakalombe says working closely with teachers and community members in the constituency, learners should be provided with a conducive environment to learn.He was speaking when he held a meeting with the school PTA committee at Kasenga Primary School in Chongwe to appreciate challenges faced by the learning institution.And Mr. Mwakalombe has also directed councillors in his constituency to check on roads that need to be graded.He said it is about time the people in Chongwe had good feeder roads to ease their movements.Meanwhile, Chongwe District Commissioner Robster Mwanza has urged farmers in Chongwe to quickly get fertilizer which has already reached his office.Mr. Mwanza said the farming season is around the corner and farmers should prepare themselves adequately to yield positive results.
