Choma Town Clerk Nabbed For Corruption

The Anti-Corruption Commission-ACC- has arrested Choma Town Clerk, DAVIES MUSENGE, for corrupt practices involving over 950,000 Kwacha.

Mr MUSENGE, has been arrested on three counts of Willful Failure to comply with applicable law and procedure.

ACC HEAD – Corporate Communication, TIMOTHY MOONO has confirmed to ZNBC News in LUSAKA today.

Mr. MOONO says the offences are alleged to have been committed when Mr. MUSENGE served as Town Clerk for Chipata Municipal Council.

Meanwhile, the Commission has also arrested a Choma Businessman for theft of 16 Farmer Input Support Programme Packs of groundnuts valued at Over 17 thousand Kwacha.

Mr MOONO says EZRA MABBALANI, of Sibanyati Village in Choma has been arrested for one count of theft by agent

He said it is alleged that between 1st January 2023 and 31st January 2023, Mr MABBALANI did steal the packs of groundnut seed, property of Notuceya Women’s Club which was entrusted to him by Kamano Seed Company Limited.

He has since been released on Bond and will appear in court soon.
