Chipolopolo off to Maputo

The Chipolopolo boys are off to Maputo for Sunday’s African Nations Championship (CHAN) clash with Mozambique.

Aljosa Asanovic’s lads had been camped in Durban in the aftermath of the 2022 COSAFA Cup that they lifted.

The lads are expected in Maputo in the evening.

Zambia plays Mozambique in back-to-back clashes with the away tie on Sunday before hosting the mambas on July 30.

Winner between Zambia and Mozambique will face Malawi in the final round who qualified through a walkover as Zimbabwe who were their opponents remain banned.

The CHAN is a tournament exclusive to national team players plying their trade in their home countries.
