China pledges modern agricultural technologies to Zambia

The Chinese Government has pledged to provide Zambia with Agricultural technologies that will help improve the country’s Agriculture sector.

Chinese Agriculture and Rural Affairs Minister TANG RENJIAN says China has developed advanced agronomical practices and Farm machinery that it wishes to share with Zambia.

Dr. RENJIAN says Agricultural development in Zambia can only be achieved if farmers embrace new and appropriate Agricultural technologies.

He noted that Zambia is well positioned to be an Agricultural hub that has potential to feed the continent and world over.

Dr. RENJIAN said this through the language interpreter Ms. KANG FEI during the tour of the Mwomboshi dam in Chisamba district yesterday.

And, Agriculture Minister, REUBEN MTOLO has appealed to China to consider helping Zambia establish irrigation facilities across the country.
