CHILANGA MP PRAISES CHILD FUND ZAMBIA

Chilanga Member of Parliament Maria Langa has applauded Child Fund Zambia for its continued support to Government in the Education sector especially in rural areas.

Ms Langa says the provision of a classroom block has helped children in rural areas to cut on the distances that they cover in order to access education.

She says as a result of covering long distances a number of girl have ended up stopping school.

Mrs Langa was speaking when Child Fund Zambia handed over a one by Two classroom block, a borehole, two teachers houses, two  toilets  at Joseph Conteh Community school in Lukamantano area in Mwembeshi .

And Mrs Langa has disclosed that the area will also benefit from 38 feeder roads that will be graded in Chilanga Constituency.

She was responding to an appeal by the residents that the roads are so poor and difficult to transport their farming produce to near by markets for sell.

Child Fund representative Chimuka Hamusense pledged continued support to Government in the education sector.

And Chilanga Education Board Secretary Benson Chisula said Government is grateful that Child Fund has expanded Joseph Conteh Community school which is helping a number of vulnerable children.
