And President HICHILEMA said Government is aware of the challenges that the affected households are facing following floods that have been experienced in Mambwe and surrounding areas.

President HICHILEMA said Government will continue to find ways to protect lives and property amid the effects of floods.

He notes that with floods, the disease burden is also likely to occur and therefore stated that Government is working at ensuring that the cholera outbreak is addressed.

The Head of State has also urged the Provincial administration to educate and advise citizens on where to construct their houses so that they are not affected by floods .
