Chess National Team In India For Chess Olympiads

Chansa Kunda-The Zambia Chess National Team has left for India ahead of the 2022 World Chess Olympiads that starts on Thursday this week.

The 44th edition slated for Chennai Indian will for the first time in 30 years see an Asian country host the prestigious tournament set to take place from July 28th to August 10th, 2022.

Over 2-thousand participants from over 1-hundred and 80 countries will battle it out for the top prize at this year’s Olympiads.

And Chess Federation of Zambia President MUKUBULO CHILUFYA says the country should expect good results from the Chess team.

And Team Captain LORITA MWANGO said the Tournament will be an opportunity for players to sharpen their skills.
