Chembo promises fans a good show as Forest Rangers welcome Zanaco

Ndola-based Super League side, Forest Rangers are back in action as they host Zanaco FC after a month of not being in action due to their opponents having CAF games and an international break.

Fole Malembe welcomes Sensational Zanaco this afternoon to the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in a rescheduled encounter as they both look to collect maximum points.

Speaking in an interview with the ZamFoot Crew, Coach Tenant Chembo says games in hand don’t automatically mean points and hence the team will have to labor for them. He says despite not being in action his team has been in training and is raring to go.

Malembe will be welcomed by their fans in the stadium after a whole year of playing behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Coach TC has assured the fans that the team will give them a good game

“We have been missing our fans, they are the 12th player, they need to rally behind us, we are in this together and we will give them what they have been missing,” Chembo said.

It will be an intense 11 days of no rest for Malembe as they have four games to play in this little space, but the former Mufulira Wanderers and ZESCO United boss seems to be positive about it.

“The depth will help us a lot, we have players who are around, in case of injuries or sickness but God forbid, am not hoping for that to happen. We keep rotating players, which has helped a lot and we have a good balance of the team in the goalkeeping department, defense, midfield, and upfront,” he said.

“As a team, we just need to have an objective, that we want to achieve at the end of the day, and God willing we will achieve it.”

Malembe is currently standing in 11th position with two games in hand. They take on the Bankers at levy Mwanawasa stadium, with their next match also being home against Kabwe Warriors.

A win for Fole Malembe will take them into the top four while a win for the visitors will see Kelvin Kaindu’s team move out of the relegation zone.

We’ve arrived safely in Ndola ahead of tomorrow’s match against Forest Rangers.
