Cavendish to aid govt education efforts

Hector Simfukwe-Cavendish University Zambia says it will continue complementing government’s efforts to educate poor but talented young people through the provision of scholarships.

University Executive Director REGINALD RAINEY says the institution is currently providing a number of scholarships to vulnerable children with good grade twelve results.

He says this is in addition to the ones being offered in conjunction with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees and Hot FM Media group.

Mr. RAINEY told ZNBC news that the Institution believes that those who get educated are better placed to help their families and the Nation as a whole.

Mr. RAINEY said no bright child should fail to access University education on account of being poor.

He said Cavendish University will continue working with other stakeholders to ensure more vulnerable people have access to Quality University Education.
