CAF GAME RESULTS

ZANACO football club have progressed to the next round of the CAF Champions league while ZESCO United have bowed out of the competition.

The Bankers beat Akonangui of Equatorial Guinea 1 nil to make it 3-nil on aggregate.

ZESCO United on the other hand beat Royal leopards of Eswatini 2-1 but it was not enough to see them through due to away goals rule following their 1-nil away loss last weekend.

In the Confederation Cup  Red Arrows have progressed to the next round following a 2-1 aggregate score line after playing to  barren draw against Young Buffaloes in Eswatin .

ZANACO Football Club Coach Kelvin Kaindu says it is sad that ZESCO United could not make it past the first round.

Kaindu says with the progression of Arrows and ZANACO the country still has hope of making it to the group stage.

And Akonangui  Head Coach Juan Bicogo said the loss was not surprise because  he is still building a team for the future .

Bicogo said the late arrival of the team also affected the team’s performance .

Akonangui arrived in  Zambia in the early hours of today .
