CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE : RED ARROWS TO FACE AGOSTO AGAIN

By Bernard Nkweto

Super League Champions Red Arrows Football Club has been drawn against Premiero de Agosto of Angola in the CAF Champions league first round qualifier.

This is the second time in two seasons the two sides are been paired in a CAF Club competition.

The two teams met last season in the CAF Confederations Championships that saw the two time Super League winners eliminate the Champions of Angolan on a 1 nil aggregate score line to progress to the next round.

And reacting to the draws, Red Arrows Coach CHISI MBEWE said the draw is fair for his side as they seek to go a step further than how they did last season.

The First leg will be played in Lusaka between 09 to 11 September 2022 with the return leg set between 16 to 18 November in Luanda.

Meanwhile, Nine time Super League Champions ZESCO United will face either Highlanders of Eswatini or Royal AM FC of South Africa in the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup.
