CAF CC: We are ready for RS Berkane – Fathi

NAPSA Stars head coach Mohamed Fathi has declared his team ready for Wednesday’s CAF Confederation Cup group B encounter against Moroccan outfit RS Berkane.

The Pensioners are coming from a disappointing 3-1 defeat at the hands of Young Green Eagles away in Kafue but Fathi believes this is a different game and his players are mentally ready for it.

“We are very much ready, The morale is high and the concentration is high, the players are excited traveling to Morocco,” he said.

” We know where the breakdown was, The players take each game separately and this game has a different preparation. mentally the payers are ready to fight.”

“It’s a long journey, I can’t say it will affect the team but we will assess the players when we arrive and see what we will do,” he added.

NAPSA Stars FC left for Morocco at 16:10 on Saturday, aboard an Emirates flight, and are currently in Casablanca awaiting a trip to Oujda at 22:00hrs local time.

Berkane is the defending Champions of the Competition after beating Pyramids in the final last year but Fathi is not moved.

The team has reached Casablanca at 13h45 local time, and will be connecting to Oujda, Morocco.

“There is nothing tough in football, Everything in life is not easy if you want to succeed you have to work hard and succeed. They said UD Songo is tough w beat them, they said Gor Mahia is tough we beat them, Our record as Zambia with North Africans is not good but we will try as a club to change the story during the group stage,” he said.

NAPSA and Berkane will square off at the Stade Municipal de Berkane in Berkane on Wednesday, March 10th at 21:00hrs local time.
