BUS DRIVERS WANT CBD CONGESTION ADDRESSED

Bus drivers on Kafue road have appealed to government to find a lasting solution to congestion in most bus stations.

The drivers who have refused to go back to the Central Business District-CBD have accused the local authority of delaying to approve acquisition of land that was identified early this year.

One of the drivers, Kizwel Lilanda says some drivers on the Kafue route have opted to load along the road to avoid the congested CDB.

But Local government and rural development Permanent Secretary Maambo Hamaundu has clarified that the land in question is a private property.

Mr Hamaundu explained that government will follow the right procedure to acquire land when need arises.
