AIRTEL FINED FOR CONTRAVENING QUALITY OF SERVICE OBLIGATIONS

The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority-ZICTA has fined Airtel Networks Zambia for failing to adhere to the quality of service parameters as outlined in the quality of service guidelines. ZICTA Manager Corporate Communications Hanford Chaaba says this has been necessitated by the recent outages experienced on the airtel network that affected its subscriber base.
