Army Officer Up for Refresher

Zambia Army Deputy Commander Major General Sitali Alibuzwi says he will ensure  all army officers go for refresher training to keep abreast with developing trends.Major General Alibuzwi says continuous training will enable officers keep fit and abreast in their field of operation and be more effective.He says it is only when officers are well trained that they will deliver according to expectations.The Deputy Commander has since thanked government for its continued support towards the development of soldiers’ skills in the country.Major General Alibuzwi said this when he called on Kaoma District Commissioner Kennedy Mubanga at his office.General Alibuzwi is in Kaoma District to check on the progress of the ongoing training at Bonga training camp which has being going on since October 2019.And Kaoma District Commissioner Kennedy Mubanga praised the soldiers for the support rendered to police when conflicts arise.Mr Mubanga explained that soldiers had been supportive each time police were outnumbered especially during burials when the community ran amok due to allegedly flying coffins through rituals locally known as Chikondo.He further appealed to soldiers to continue helping the District Disaster and Mitigation Unit during calamities.Mr Mubanga said his office will always look for assistance from the Army.
