Army commander tips newly promoted officers

Zambia Army Commander SITALI ALIBUZWI has urged newly promoted Officers and Soldiers to provide sound military advice to their subordinate Officers.

Lieutenant General ALIBUZWI says the elevation of the Officers to their next ranks is as a result of their hard work and loyalty to the country.

Speaking during the piping ceremony for promotion of general grade Officers, brigadier general and colonel ranks held at Army headquarters in Lusaka, Gen ALIBUZWI advised the Officers to continue upholding their oath of allegiance by serving the country and the president with patriotism and integrity.

Twelve Brigadier Generals and 17- Colonels, matched before the Army Commander who was in the company of Deputy Commander Zambia Army and chief of staff Major General GEOFFREY CHOONGO ZYEELE.

Others promoted to their next ranks were Lieutenant Colonels, Majors, Captains, Lieutenants, Warrant Officer Class Ones and two.
