Appreciate each other’s cultures – HH

By Hector Simfukwe

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on Zambians to appreciate each other’s cultures and traditions.

President HICHILEMA says this should be done by learning each other’s languages and values as this promotes unity in the country.

He says the exhibition of brotherly love between the LITUNGA of Western Province and Paramount Chief Chitimukulu is good for the unity of the Country.

President HICHILEMA said this in a speech read for him by Local Government and Rural Development Minister GARY NKOMBO, when he officiated at this year’s Kusefya Pang’wena Traditional Ceremony of the Bemba people in Mungwi District – Northern Province.

And President HICHILEMA said he is determined to improve the lives of the people.

He said this is being done by improving the education, health and other sectors of the economy.

Speaking on behalf of Paramount Chief CHITIMUKULU, Dr. BWALYA CHITEBA urged Zambians to work together regardless of their cultural differences.

The traditional leader thanked President HICHILEMA for upgrading Kasama Airport to international standard.

The Paramount Chief said going by this, the head of state has demonstrated that he can fulfil most of his promises to the people of Zambia.

He also thanked the LITUNGA for accepting to attend this year’s Ukusefya Pang’wena traditional ceremony.

And a Representative of the LITUNGA, Ngambela MUKELA MANYANDO said Bembas’ and Lozis’ should join forces to promote national unity.

He also congratulated Paramount Chief CHITIMUKULU for marking ten years on the throne.
