Tamara Muswala-The State has submitted that it is still waiting for instructions from the Director of Public Prosecution -DPP- to proceed with the case in which a Kitwe house wife ANNIE MONTA is accused of murdering her husband RICHARD MBULU known as CHILE ONE.

Meanwhile, there was drama at Kitwe Magistrates Court, after marshals decided to restrict the number of family members from both parties in the courtroom in line with the Covid 19 guidelines.

ELIZABETH MBULU mother of the late Mr. MBULU wondered why the court wanted to restrict the number of family members to witness the court proceedings bearing in mind the nature of the case.

This was after Ms. MONTA 30, appeared for mention amid tight security in a matter in which she’s accused of killing her husband after a marital dispute on April 29, this year.

Police in full riot gear kept vigil while scores of Kitwe residents thronged the magistrates’ court to catch a glimpse of Ms. MONTA.

The State applied for an adjournment to wait for instructions from the DPP and Magistrate CHONGO MUSONDA adjourned the matter to June 21 this year for mention.

Magistrate MUSONDA urged the state to ensure instructions are ready by June 21 because this will be the third time the murder accused is appearing.
