AMBULANCE SCANDAL: MALAMA FIVE OTHERS IN COURT

Former Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary KENNEDY  MALAMA and five others have appeared in court for alleged willful failure to comply with applicable law and procedure during procurement of 50 ambulances for the Ministry of Health.

Others accused are Dr FRANCIS BWALYA ,  Dr MZAZA NTHELE,  and REBBECA NJOBVU.

The rest are Dr MAXIMILLIAN BWEUPE and WILSON LUNGU, a procurement officer in the Ministry of Mines.

The accused only appeared before Lusaka Resident Magistrate DOMINIC MAKALICHA for reading of the charge.

This is because they  are waiting  for  consent from the  Director of Public Prosecutions -DPP- for the matter to be prosecuted .
