Amachocholi firm recalled to redo works at Chipata’s Magazine market

A private company, engaged to construct the Magazine market, in Chipata, Eastern province, has been ordered to redo the works.

This is after the project implementers, Chipata City Council, discovered defects, during an inspection exercise.

Amachocholi Construction Company was engaged to construct Magazine market at a cost of over 131-thousand kwacha, under the 2022 Constituency Development Fund -CDF.

Council Public Relations Officer, EDDIE NGOMA says the project is still under the defects- liability period and the contractor has NOT been paid in full.

And Kanjala Ward Development Committee Chairperson, MARTIN PHIRI has appealed to the council to ensure the contractor does a good job.
