All stars v The Rest: Asanovic’s Chipolopolo to face Copperbelt, Midlands select sides

Chipolopolo coach Aljosa Asanovic will take a closer look at the local players next week in two friendly.

A locally assembled Copper Bullets side will face two ‘The Rest’ sides.

FAZ President Andrew Kamanga revealed in his weekly column about the two matches.

“The coaches are looking at the local players that they will use for the forthcoming assignments,” Kamanga wrote.

“Two All Stars versus The Rest games will be held on the Copperbelt and Lusaka,” he added

Asanovic’s side will play a Copperbelt side coached by Power Dynamos’ Mwenya Chipepo.

The match will likely be in played in either Ndola or Kitwe.

In the second match, the Chipolopolo will take on a Chisi Mbewe coached ‘The Rest’ side in Lusaka.

“Coach Aljosa Asanovic and his technical bench have been doing a lot of work in the background to put together a strong squad that will help the Chipolopolo rebound,” said Kamanga

The midlands select will be coached by Chisi Mbewe

Since his appointment, Asanovic has been scouting players from the local league ahead of the friendly matches against South Africa and Guinea in March.
