AFCON 2023Qs: Zambia drawn in Group H alongside hosts Ivory Coast

The Chipolopolo Boys have been drawn in group H for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

This follows the draws held on Tuesday evening in the SuperSport Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Copper Bullets will battle for a place at the continental showpiece with Comoros, Lesotho and hosts, Ivory Coast.

With Ivory Coast already qualified as hosts, Zambia , Lesotho and Comoros will battle for one place.

Zambia will be desperate to make it to the tournament after missing the last three consecutive tournaments.

Zambia last qualified to the tournament in 2015 under now Namungo FC boss Honor Janza.

The top two teams from each group except, Group H will qualify for the tournament to take place next year in Cote d’Ivoire.

The qualifiers will start in June 2022 and Chipolopolo boys who last appeared in the tournament in 2015 would want to redeem themselves for the 2023 edition.
